Das Jüdische Museum Berlin lädt den amerikanischen Autor Joshua Cohen ein, das kulturelle Erbe des Verlegers und Warenhaus-Unternehmers Salman Schocken zu erkunden. Anhand ausgewählter Exponate aus der Sammlung des Museums kommentiert Cohen in der Ausstellung die Geschichte des Schocken-Verlags und nimmt sie zum Ausgangspunkt für eine zeitgenössische Perspektive auf Kultur und Kapital, auf Warenhäuser und Museen und nicht zuletzt auf Fragen der (Wieder-)Aneignung und der Zugehörigkeit.

Mr Mauge will show parts of his film “My tomb, our tomb, Rachel’s Tomb” as well as discuss his monograph „Väter des Heiligen Landes“, a visual work documenting Christian monastic traditions in the Holy Land (co-authored with Michael Ragsch and Sebastian, Be+Be-Verlag, 2020).
Nadir Mauge is a visual storyteller based in Bethlehem, Palestine, specializing in film and photography. His has exhibited and screened internationally, including at the Toronto Palestine Film Festival and Photo Independent in Hollywood. Through his craft, he documents stories that raise awareness of social issues and celebrate the essence of genuine humanity. His work is especially relevant for documenting the religious diversity in Palestine, a diversity embedded in the lives and histories of the people.

The Abraham Initiatives is a Jewish-Israeli and Palestinian-Israeli organization that advances social inclusion and equal rights for Israel’s Palestinian citizens by influencing public policy, shaping public opinion and demonstrating practical models for a shared society. We envision Israel as a democratic state, homeland of the Jewish people and all its citizens, that guarantees and protects the full citizenship and equal rights of its Palestinian citizens; where Jewish- and Palestinian-Israelis co-create a cohesive, inclusive society; and that exists peacefully alongside an independent, sovereign Palestinian state.
Palestinians, Israelis, and allies from around the world gathered on May 15, for the 2025 Joint Nakba Remembrance Ceremony – to commemorate the forced displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people, to acknowledge that the current bloodshed is a horrifying link in the long chain of conflict and violence over the land, and to insist on another way. Through the ceremony, Combatants for Peace modeled what they affirm – that understanding how each side experiences history is imperative to breaking this chain and forging a different future.

Am 28. April lud die Hochschule gemeinsam mit dem Dokumentations- und Kulturzentrum Deutscher Sinti und Roma zu einer besonderen Buchvorstellung ein: „In den Grauzonen der Geschichte: Der Prager Kinderarzt Berthold Epstein (1890–1962)“. Über 60 Gäste folgten gespannt den Ausführungen von Vera Trnka und Stephan Heinrich Nolte, die von jahrelanger Forschung, bedeutenden Entdeckungen und persönlichen Verbindungen berichteten.
Deutschland und Israel feiern 60 Jahre diplomatische Beziehungen. Für Meron Mendel, den Direktor der Bildungsstätte Anne Frank, fühlt sich der Zeitpunkt falsch an. Deutschland solle seine Außenpolitik wegen des Gaza-Krieges überdenken, fordert er.
